He became the oldest and sixth fastest batsman to reach the milestone of 10,000 runs in the number of innings played. On 24 March 2010, Younis, along with teammate Mohammad Yusuf, was suspended from gambling by the Pakistan Cricket Board after an investigation into a document stating that they were concerned about discipline violations by inciting discord within the team. The ban was lifted 3 months later. In the form test against Australia starting on October 22, 2014, Younis made his 25th and 26th centuries in the same form, becoming only the 6th Pakistani to achieve this. June 25, 2015, Younis became the fifth Pakistani cricketer to play one hundred test matches, and on the thirteenth of October 2015, he became Pakistan's top scorer in test cricket, breaking Javed Miandad's record of eight 832 runs. He retired from ODI cricket in November 2015. He retired from all forms of global cricket on the conviction of the collection in the confrontation with the West Indies in May 2017.

Personal Lifestyle
Yunis married Amna on March 30, 2007. They have three children: two sons and one daughter. His eldest son Ovais Khan was born on December 26, 2007. His daughter's name is Ammar Khan, and his younger son's name is Ammar Khan. Younis had to deal with some deaths in his own family at some point in 2005 and 2006. Earlier in  2005, he again had to fly from an excursion to Australia after his father's death. Later that year, during England's trip to Pakistan, Younis ' older brother, Mohammed Sharif Khan, who, according to Younis, taught him to play cricket, died at the age of 41 in a car accident in Ukraine. Another older brother, Farman Ali Khan, became the most efficient 39-year-old when he was killed in a car accident in Germany in December 2006. Younis was fighting back in the second ODI against the West Indies in Faisalabad when information about the death of his brother reached the team management. Eunice Handy came to understand something like this state of affairs after he returned to the pavilion after giving up his innings. Yunis immediately left for his hometown of Mardan and did not take part in the final matches anymore.

With the help of ranks and data
On July 9, 2014, Younis was recalled to the group "Sooner or Later" for the tour of Sri Lanka to Pakistan. Younis Khan made 177 runs in the first innings of the main test, while Pakistan reached 451 runs. He became interested in partnerships with a hundred launches when he immediately began to compile a completely new report on maximum partnerships with a hundred launches (fifty-one), bypassing the previous file of Javed Miandad (50). His overall performance was highly appreciated, as he came here at a very difficult time when the score was only 19/2 and played an important role in supporting Pakistan as a whole. He turned into the name during the XI test lasting 12 months with the help of Cricbuzz. His 200* throw against Zimbabwe in Harare was nominated by ESPNcricinfo for one of the best test scores of 2013. Younis passed the Sir Donald Bradman Trophy in his 101st test in form, scoring his thirtieth test century (171*) against Sri Lanka with a score of 0.33 and the most recent test at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in July 2015. In this century, Younis Khan became the first batsman in test cricket records to score 5 runs in four innings in a test match, surpassing the earlier record of four centuries by Sunil Gavaskar, Ricky Ponting. For his performances in 2015, he turned into the world's named Test XI through the ICC. Younis has also completed 50 centuries and 15,000 runs in satisfactory cricket with this ton. Pakistan successfully scored 377 runs in the fourth innings against Sri Lanka as part of a 1/3 test landing. Younis became the twelfth batsman to score 30 test centuries after Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar scored 30 test centuries for the first time in 1983.

Playing style
Younis is considered one of the most enjoyable spin bowlers in the world, being mostly strong on his feet. His favorite and trademark shot is the breakaway shot, but this has also been his downside, as he is mostly prone to dropping lbw in the early stages of his innings. He also tends to get down on one knee and drive extravagantly. But this brightness is combined with hardness. One of his main weaknesses is playing away from the body, in addition, he has a tendency to throw balls instantly, a trait that has been used in bowlers in the outfield, especially in the Australian attack. Together with Mohammad Yusuf and the now-retired Inzamam-ul-Haq, he formed a formidable middle-order batting line for Pakistan.
Younis is a skillful midfielder, with a record arranged through Cricinfo at the end of 2005 showing that, due to the 1999 Cricket World Cup, he completed 1/3 of the maximum number of throws in ODI cricket (shared with Andrew Symonds), with the best performance fee.

Difficulties with the contract
The Younis has demoted from a Class A agreement to a Class B agreement by the decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board. This caused controversy in the media, as analysts, former players and cricket fans expressed outrage about the selection, many of whom said that a participant of such growth as Yunis should not be treated like this. In the end, the Board of Directors succumbed to stress, and Eunice returned to the category "A".

Retirement
After the 2009 ICC World Cup triumph in the Twenty20 T20I Trophy, Younis announced that this would be his remaining international appearance in the twenty20, noting: "This is my last game at the age of twenty [for Pakistan], so I'm retiring from T20 internationals," Younis said. " I'm 31 now, I'm ready for this kind of cricket." There was no immediate announcement about the appointment of his successor as captain over the age of 20. On July 29, 2009, it was confirmed that Shahid Afridi could get better because the captain is twenty years old.
After retirement
On 11 May 2017, the ACB announced that Younis Khan could become the next member of the Afghanistan national cricket team. This proposal was later rejected with the help of Yunis Khan.
On 9 June 2020, the PCB appointed Younis Khan as its batting coach for the Pakistan tour to England. His contract as a batting instructor was extended in November 2020 until the 2022 T-20 Cricket World Cup. However, in June 2021, he and the PCB became the most convenient ways six months after he entered into a two-year agreement. It became known that Younis had an argument with the Pakistani bowler Hassan Ali. Eunice later confirmed this place by mentioning: "Hassan Ali apologized to me, and I forgave him"

Awards
On March 23, 2010, Yunis was awarded the "Pride of Performance" Award from the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari. On March 23, 2018, he became a representative of Sitar-i-Imtiaz through the President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain.

Resignation from Batting Coach
Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan dismissed reports that he resigned because he was a batting coach across the country due to disagreements with bowler Hassan Ali but also refused to give the exact reasons for his decision, mentioning contractual duties. Younis resigned a few days ago, but neither he nor the Pakistan Cricket Board provided any explanation for this. Later, the media blamed a series of events on a quarrel between Yunis and Ali over an ice bath after training. The former batsman said that Ali, meanwhile, had begun to travel around England, and it became unusual for him to play out this question.

He made it clear that there were various reasons for his decision to resign, but he was convinced of this thanks to his contract with KSP, which did not allow him to speak on this issue for 6 months."In fact, I have not made any comments on this issue yet as part of the best practices of Pakistani cricket and PCBs, and our team is also traveling around England," Younis added. But he claimed that there were several people inside the circuit board who leaked out to undermine his self-confidence and popularity."I was in no way chasing money to get positions. My simplest situation is to do something for Pakistani cricket and make sure that the players should take advantage of my pleasure, " he said. Yunis mentioned that from the very first day he made it clear that he could talk to the Chairman of the Board Ehsan Mani or CEO Wasim Khan."In the future also, if I have to submit Pakistan cricket and pictures with the board, I will make sure that the topics are more obvious in our agreement," he said. Younis, who is considered a temperamental man or woman, left the post of batting coach shortly before the team went to England, and given that there was speculation at the time about the reasons for his unexpected departure. Another reason for his decision was that he was denied permission to sign up for the team's bio-bubble in England a little later than planned. Yunis reportedly wanted him to have time to undergo the necessary dental system. The head coach of the Pakistan national team, Misbah-ul-Haq, said that the departure of Younis from the post of batting teacher is a huge loss for the players.
