Babar Azam Biography

Mohammad Babar Azam (Urdu: محمد بابر العظم; born 15 October 1994) is a Pakistani cricketer who captains Pakistan in all formats. Azam is considered one of the top-class advanced batsmen in the world. He plays for the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League and captains Central Punjab in domestic cricket. In April 2021, he was ranked number one in the ICC's ODI batsman rankings.  the ICC ODI batsman ranking. Babar Azam was born on 15 October 1994 in a Punjabi family circle. He was born in a walled city, and remembers memories of "playing cricket and wandering these streets like an unfastened chook." His cousins Kamran and Umar Akmal, who are older than him, were the target he became attached to, and their memories and performance instilled this concept in him. So he decided to make cricket his profession. He was a ball boy at the Gaddafi Stadium  before becoming a member of the cricket Academy, and started his cricket career there and moved on to the present throughout the series of home matches that Pakistan played in 2006 and 2008. He sought advice from Rana Sadiq, his first student, who taught him in real phrases what batting was. He later went straight to the Pakistan U-19 team.

In May 2015, Babar disguised himself as a defender for the Pakistan ODI team for the home series against Zimbabwe. He made his ODI debut in the 1/3 ODI on 31 May and scored an excellent fifty, scoring 54 runs from 60 balls. His unexpected debut earned him a place in both the test and ODI teams selected for the away series against Sri Lanka. He changed into a non-selected one for the game in the Test Collection. During the ODI build-up, he best scored 37 runs in the two matches he played. Babar was included in the squad for the ODI away test against Zimbabwe in September 2015. 

He was dropped from the ODI squad to prepare for the home match against England. In the first ODI of a four-match collection, he scored 62 runs but did not go out again with a strike price of 100, helping Pakistan win the match. He had ratings of four, 22, and fifty-one in the next 3 suits, respectively. He finished the series with 139 runs at an average of 46.33. In January 2016, Pakistan toured New Zealand. In the first ODI match, Babar scored sixty-two goals, scoring 76 goals. Pakistan lost form after using 70 runs. He was the top scorer in the ODI collection with one hundred and forty-five runs in 2 innings at an average of seventy-two.50.In the 5-in-form ODI series against England in July, he played in five matches and most effectively scored 122 goals. On 7 September, he made his twenty20 debut for Pakistan in England. He scored 15 unanswered shots from eleven goals. Pakistan got healthy and collection. 

Babar Azam was selected for the home series against the West Indies. In the primaries in the ODI collection form, he scored his first global century, scoring one hundred and twenty from 131 balls and winning his first Man of the Match award. In the second ODI, he scored a few more goals, this time scoring 123 from 126 balls, and supporting Pakistan to post a total of over 330. In the third and most recent ODI of the series, Azam ended up scoring 1/3 in a row (117 from 106). He also smashed the file for scoring the most runs (360) in the ODI 3 in shape collection. He became the only batsman, having scored over 350 runs in a collection of 3 ODI suits.He made his debut for Pakistan against the West Indies in Dubai on 13 October 2016 and scored 69 in his first innings. He was the first contestant to score fifty points in his debut day/night test.

On 19 January 2017, as part of the third ODI towards Australia, Azam became then the fastest player to score 1,000 runs in an ODIs, followed by the fastest for Pakistan in his 21st innings, before his nationwide record and world record was eclipsed by his compatriot Fakhar Zaman. He scored a century in the fifth ODI, which was the most comfortable second century ever scored by a Pakistani batsman in Australia since Zaheer Abbas in 1981. He also entered the top 10 batsman rankings for the first time in ODIs. Babar Azam was selected for the home series against the West Indies. Babar represented Islamabad United in the inaugural season of the Pakistan Super League. Before the 2017 PSL Player Draft, he moved to the Karachi Kings. He performed well in the 2017 season, scoring 291 runs for a total of 32.33 runs per innings and finishing the match as the second top scorer behind his cousin Kamran Akmal. He moved to saved through the Kings in the 2018 seasonand became the third top scorer with 5 half-centuries. He was again the 2019 Pakistan Super League champion. Prior to the 2020 season, he was named the franchise's vice captain. He was the top scorer in the 2020 Pakistan Super League. He scored 473 runs, an average of fifty-nine.He led his team to the most recent PSL victory.  He received the "Guy of the Match" award in the qualifying tournament and the final. He was also the player of the match for the 2020 season.

In 2016, he signed for Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise Rangpur Riders (later renamed Rangpur Rangers), however, due to commitments across the country, he was unable to participate. In 2017, Babar played for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League and the Sylhet Sixers in the BPL. In 2019, Somerset signed Babar to compete in the 2019 County T20 cricket competition. He became the opposition's all-time top scorer with 578 runs in 13 fits, which include 4 half-centuries and one century, and recorded a total of fifty-two hits.54 runs correspond to an innings. In January 2019, it was announced that he would join Somerset for 12 suits in the 2020 t20 Blast, as well as two quality fits. In August 2020, Somerset demonstrated its engagement and turned into, what was done after fulfilling its obligations throughout the country.On the sixteenth of September 2020, in a suit against Glamorgan, he registered his career best score of 114, no more than from sixty-two balls, and completed his 5,000 runs in T20s, becoming 1/3 the fastest in an international and the fastest Asian in terms of innings to reach the milestone.  A century against Glamorgan also proved to be the batsman's first strike in a recreational T20 at Sophia Gardens.  As of April 2021, Babar has scored 19 international caps, five in test suits, 13 in one-day internationals and 1 in T20I.  He was the leading test run scorer for Pakistan in each of 2018 and 2019,  the leading ODI scorer for the Pakistan team in 2016, 2017 and 2017. 2019 and the 2nd top scorer of the T20I sector in 2017 and the leading scorer of the Pakistan team in 2019.He was named in the ICC ODI team of the year in 2017 and 2019, both because he is an ODI player in the Pakistan Cricket Board for 12 months in 2017 and a T20I participant for 12 months in 2018. On 7 April 2021, he became the top ODI batsman after surpassing Virat Kohli.
