Alexander Daniel Hale (born 3 January 1989) is an English cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who currently plays for Nottinghamshire and the England Cricket Team. He made his international debut for India in August 2014 and made his test cricket debut against South Africa in December 2015. His attacking style has made him one of the best twenty20 batsmen in the world.Hales is the best English batsman to score a century in T20I. He is also the top batsman to be dismissed for ninety-nine in ODI and T20.

On 25 January 2019, Alex hit his first century in the BPL with 47 balls for the Rangpur Racers. In September 2019, he was named in the Durban Heat's squad for the 2019 Mzansi Super League tournament. In July 2020, he was named in the Barbados Tridents squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League.                                                                                                        Controversy
In September 2017, Hales, along with teammate Ben Stokes, was charged with bringing the sport into disrepute through the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). This figure is linked to an incident that occurred on the street in a Bristol nightclub in September 2017, hours after England held a day trip to the West Indies on a county ground in the city. Stokes was charged with affray over the incident with police assistance, and the ECB adjourned its disciplinary hearing pending the outcome of the legal proceedings.In December 2018, the Cricket Disciplinary Commission issued a verdict in response to Hales ' conduct in Bristol and when it comes to "inappropriate images". The commission banned Hales from six white-ball matches, two of which were served, and the last four were suspended. Hales was further fined £ 17,500, 10,000 of which was suspended for one year. In addition, Hales was required to complete "appropriate training" at his own cost.In April 2019, Hales tested Fantastic for a recreational drug when he underwent a hair follicle test.  Herschel Herman Gibbs (born 23 February 1974) is a South African cricket coach and a previous cricketer who played in all formats of the sport for fourteen years. A right-handed batsman who opened the overall standings, Gibbs became the first player to hit six consecutive sixes in One-day International Cricket( ODI), having done so in the 2007 Cricket World Cup against the Netherlands. He held the file for the best score in the hit chase (one hundred and seventy-five*) until it was reloaded via Miss Dhoni. Regarded as one of the most talented cricketers South Africa has ever produced, Gibbs has also become known as an excellent fielder, as has his compatriot Jonty Rhodes, with former Australian captain Ricky Ponting noting that he believes Gibbs is superior to Rhodes in his ability to hit the stumps.  A record made with Cricinfo in late 2005 showed that, due to the 1999 Cricket World Cup, he achieved the eighth highest number of runs in ODI cricket among all fielders, with the 10th highest success rate.He became the fifth international franchise player to sign with the Caribbean Premier League, and the first South African player to be named in the new Twenty20 tournament.  

                                                                 Personal life
Gibbs attended St. Joseph's Marist College, then the Diocesan College in Rondebosch. Gibbs was an accomplished athlete in college, playing on the school's rugby, cricket and football teams.At Diocesan College, Gibbs first played XV rugby as part of an equal team alongside Robbie Fleck, Selborne Boom and Dave von Heslin, who later became the Springboks.On June 8, 2007, he married Teniel Povey in St. Kitts, but soon divorced.

Gibbs has scored two double goals in his test career, both in contrasting innings. In 1999, at the Jade Stadium, he made his first 211 innings against New Zealand. His innings took 468 balls, while his 2nd double century, 228 against Pakistan, got just 240 balls here. In that innings at Newlands, he achieved a nationwide 368-run partnership with Graeme Smith. He set the same three hundred starting stands with his captain, making them the most effective pair in test records to break three hundred in three competitions.He also owns the South African 2D Wicket file, a 315 * partnership with Jacques Kallis.Gibbs famously seized on the sport at the 1999 FIFA World Cup in Australia when he attempted to throw a ball in the air during a birthday celebration before taking full possession of it. The player he dropped, Steve Waugh, made a century and won the sport for Australia, a victory that also gave the Australian aspect the momentum it needed to lead and win the tournament. At the time, it was reported that right now, after the grip was dropped, Waugh "rolled" Gibbs with the announcement, "You just dropped the World Cup," but in his autobiography Out of My Comfort Zone, Waugh denies this. Waugh, however, stated that teammate Shane Warne had noticed that Gibbs had developed a habit of throwing the ball in the air beforehand after he had caught the ball, and had told his colleagues not to leave the crease too quickly if they got stuck because of Gibbs, just in case the situation that had arisen with Waugh inevitable.

Gibbs is certainly one of ten batsmen in ODI history to score hundreds in three consecutive innings, the others being Zahir Abbas, Saeed Anwar, AB de Villiers, Quinton de Kock, Ross Taylor, Kumar Sangakkara, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. Sangakkara became the most effective participant, hitting 4 ODI hundreds in a row throughout the 2015 International Cricket Cup. On 6 October 2002, in Potchefstroom, in form against Bangladesh, Gibbs risked becoming the first ever batsman to score 4 consecutive hundreds. South Africa set a goal of one hundred and fifty-five victories, while Gibbs suffered only three defeats, finishing unbeaten on ninety-seven. Wanting to win only six runs, he landed ninety-six punches, but Alok Kapali knocked down a shot that went for 4 and made his task almost impossible.For his performances in 2004, he was named by the ICC in the World Test X. On 12 March 2006, Gibbs made a monumental innings in the fifth ODI match against Australia, scoring one hundred and seventy-five from 111 balls in South Africa's victory. He switched to batting with Graeme Smith after Boeta Dippenaar went out for 1(3), bowled by Nathan Bracken. It was the highest-scoring international suit in history, and his innings broke numerous batting records. It was the best result ever achieved in an ODI in Australia, surpassing the efforts of Robin Smith in 1993. Having mentioned his hundred in just 79 balls, he also delivered what at the time was Australia's fastest ever ODI century. More importantly, it was the fastest hundred ever used by a South African batsman against any opponent, despite the fact that the document may be broken later in the year by Mark Boucher.It was also the best score in the history of a batsman in South Africa. He scored 126 points in the hurdles, which was the highest score for a batsman.This record lasted until April 11, 2011, when Shane Watson made one hundred and fifty steeplechase runs against Bangladesh.

In 2001, Gibbs was fined along with several teammates for smoking marijuana during a tour of the West Indies.Most infamously, Gibbs developed a troubled romance with former captain Hansi Cronje, who provided him with $ 15,000 to reach the under-20s in the network's 5th one-day international. He tearfully told the Royal Commission into Corruption in South African Cricket that he was no longer fulfilling his end of the bargain, having scored 74 runs. As a result, he was disqualified for six months. He repeatedly refused to travel to India for fear of arrest, and refused to even talk about it with the Indian police. However, Gibbs was included in South Africa's squad for the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy tour of India, and as a result had to face the Indian police over his involvement in a form-fixing scandal.On 15 January 2007, it was reported that Gibbs, a Cape Town native, could face a disciplinary panel himself after making racist comments throughout the 1st test against Pakistan. His words were picked up by a stump microphone that included reviews including "go back to the zoo" and swearing at Pakistani gamers, and as a result, they were heard around the world. It was alleged that the remarks were directed at members of the crowd after their teammate Paul Harris was assaulted at the same time as Fielding. Pakistan Control made a legitimate criticism of umpire Chris Broad and Gibbs was banned for 2 tests. He appealed the ban, but it was rejected by the ICC Code of Conduct Commissioner, Richie Benaud. The ban became, but was changed to, one test, one Twenty20 game and one ODI match-all in opposition to Pakistan.

                                                          Coach's profession
In July 2019, Gibbs was appointed head coach of the Rotterdam Rhinos for the inaugural Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament.Prior to this, he also had the pleasure of coaching teams in the Shpagiz Cricket League and the Kuwait national team across the country. In November 2020, he was selected by the Colombo Kings as the head coach for the inaugural edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League.On 2 January 2021, he was elected as the new chief instructor of the Karachi Kings in the PSL.
